I just got back from a Carnival cruise where the new donuts and beignets were on board, and I have to admit, I caved and bought them. I went for the cinnamon sugar donut and a couple of beignets with chocolate sauce. They were warm, fresh, and honestly way better than the usual pastries at the buffet. At $4 for two donuts, I didn’t feel ripped off, but I did think it was strange paying extra for something so “breakfast basic” when croissants and danishes are still free.
For me, it was more of a fun treat to grab by the pool than an everyday thing. I probably wouldn’t buy them every morning, but I liked the option. I’m curious what others think would you pay a little extra for a fresh donut at sea, or do you think Carnival should keep things like this included in the fare?
