So apparently, we’ve hit peak cruise drama with Buttergate on Carnival. A guest called out the line for allegedly serving margarine instead of real butter in the main dining room. Carnival’s brand ambassador John Heald clapped back saying it is butter and if you want margarine, you can ask for it. Honestly, I’ve cruised with them a few times and never really noticed the difference. If the bread’s warm and the spread is smooth, I’m happy.
But it does make you think are these small details what really define a good cruise experience? Have you ever cared if it’s butter or margarine onboard? What’s the most random cruise complaint you’ve seen or made? Let’s talk cruise quirks.
