Ran my Venture card on a cruise in a few countries, came home, then did a work roadtrip through a few states. Two weeks of normal travel stuff. Woke up to an email saying they were closing my account for “inconsistent usage”. They shut down my other Cap One card too.
Called in and the rep basically said I was using the card too sporadically. Kinda wild to get punished for using a travel card while… traveling. Lost all my points too, which I’d been saving for honeymoon flights.
Not really looking for a fix, just sharing in case anyone else has had this happen.
