Flying DEL to LHR on Air India, then LHR to Halifax on Air Canada, all on one ticket through a travel agent. I get one checked bag free but need a second and there’s literally no way to add it online. App won’t do it, websites won’t do it, web check-in won’t show it.
Air India says talk to Air Canada. Air Canada says talk to Air India. One person even quoted me ₹17,000 just to add the bag only to London, which makes zero sense when the trip continues to Canada.
Sounds like the only real option is to pay at the Air India counter in Delhi and hope they tag it through, but I’m worried they’ll try to overcharge or only check it to London.
Anyone done this exact combo before? Were you able to pay at the counter and get both bags checked all the way to Canada?
