On paper the credits make it look like you’re winning. But in real life it turns into calendar reminders for Uber, Grubhub, Dunkin, forcing yourself to use Resy just so you don’t “waste” value.
That mental load is real.
Even if you come out ahead financially, it starts to feel like you’re working for the card instead of the card working for you. $325 annual fee plus constant tracking adds up in effort.
There’s something nice about a simple no annual fee card with solid multipliers and no coupon book attached.
Not every card has to be optimized to the last dollar to be worth it.
