Can you upgrade your sit?

I booked my tickets through Alaska air and my connecting flights are with StarLux. I wanna upgrade one of my flight seats, but I know you’re not able to pick the seats until 48 hours before your flight and I was wondering if there was any way to upgrade my seats before that? Or do I have to do it during the 48 hour window?
