In a taxi right now going from CDG to the Marais and I assumed it’d be the fixed 56 euro right-bank fare. Didn’t confirm it when I got in, and now the meter is running. Asked the driver and he said when traffic is bad they just switch to metered rates. It’s crawling, looks like it’s going to take 90 minutes.
Feels like a “nothing to do now” situation, but the meter is stressing me out. Live and learn?
