Heads up for anyone booking work travel through systems like Concur.
Because those bookings generate separate confirmation numbers, a lot of your benefits don’t seem to carry over the way you’d expect. I used to book with points and just add EarlyBird for $25 each way. Now to get comparable boarding it’s closer to $70 each way.
My husband is my Companion and I have the credit card with priority perks, but his ticket ends up on a separate confirmation. Same issue if I book a child. The reservations can’t be linked in a way that applies benefits like we’re used to.
Feels like A List and A List Preferred have been seriously devalued over time.
Anyone found a workaround for linking confirmations? Or is this just how Southwest’s system is built?
