Business Class Upgrade on IST–TIA Return Flight

I booked two economy tickets using miles through the United app. After completing the outbound flight to Istanbul (IST), we decided it would be better to upgrade the return leg to business class. However, I couldn’t find any option to do this through the app. I’m now considering calling to request and pay for an upgrade. Has anyone gone through a similar process? Any advice on whether this is possible and what the typical cost might be?
