Did DFW–DXB–BOM this week and the two flights felt like night and day. The DFW–DXB leg was great, the newer 777 with the 1-2-1 layout, really attentive crew, everything smooth.
Dubai layover wasn’t amazing though. The lounge was weirdly hot and the food was just okay.
Then DXB–BOM ended up being the old 2-2-2 777 and it was rough. No minibar, barely any charging, overheads stuffed with blankets, cramped seat. Service felt off too, drink order taken during taxi and then forgotten, meals handed out super late for such a short flight, and I was basically chugging my tea before descent.
Honestly didn’t expect the short hop to feel worse than economy earlier this year.
