I feel this. I flew economy for years thinking business class was just for CEOs and influencers 😅
Retail prices are wild. Seeing $4k to $5k next to a $700 economy ticket hurts.
From what I’ve seen, the only times it drops close to that $2k range are random sales, mistake fares, or flying out of less obvious cities. Sometimes positioning to another airport makes a huge difference. Also shoulder season seems to help.
But honestly, most of the people I know flying lie flat aren’t paying cash. It’s usually points, upgrades, or work trips.
I did it once on a mileage upgrade for a 10+ hour flight and yeah… it kind of ruins economy after that.
Curious if anyone here has actually paid under $2k cash for long haul business recently without points.
