Burlington hotel rates dropping with fewer Canadians crossing the border

Just stayed at Hotel Vermont in Burlington and was surprised to see Harbor Suites down to $289 a night usually closer to $450. The place still delivers on food and service, but the Quebec plates that usually fill the lot were nowhere to be seen.

Even Church Street spots that are normally packed felt quiet, with easy tables at Leunig’s and Burlington Bay Market. Great for snagging reservations, but you can feel how much the slowdown is hitting the local scene
