I checked a reservation for a flight next month and noticed that two segments of my itinerary have changed significantly from what I originally booked.
The departure times are now several hours earlier, and my seat has been moved from first class to the main cabin. I’m also now assigned a random middle seat even though the aircraft appears to have plenty of open first class seats.
I’m not sure why this happened or why I wasn’t notified of the change. From what I’ve read, it may be related to a change in aircraft or fare inventory, but it still doesn’t make much sense to me given the availability.
Has anyone experienced being downgraded like this after a schedule or equipment change?
