Staying just outside the city, following grannies to lunch spots, asking for to-go boxes at breakfast, all small things that seriously add up. I’ve definitely used the carry-on only rule and it’s saved both money and sanity. I’ve done a lot of travel the hard way, overpacking, overspending, chasing peak season hype, so I appreciate any list that respects both your wallet and your sanity.
Anyone else feel like the suburbs and shoulder seasons are where the real travel magic happens these days?
