Budget charging $105 for “tire damage” with no photos… has anyone fought this?

My wife rented from Budget for a work trip and a couple weeks later we get an invoice for $105 for tire damage and resetting the TPMS light.

She said the tire light was on the whole time she had the car. She didn’t document it, which in hindsight we should’ve done. But there was no damage mentioned at drop off, and nothing was pointed out by the employee.

First they said it was $7 in damage plus a $30 admin fee. Then suddenly it became a tire replacement and jumped to around $105. When we asked for photo proof, they couldn’t provide any. Just a repair invoice from a shop.

When I called to dispute it they got defensive and focused on the fact that the tire light was on.

I’m probably just going to dispute the charge and avoid Budget in the future, but curious if anyone has successfully pushed back on something like this without photo evidence.
