Just read Gary Leff's trip report on flying AA's 777-200 Business Class from Austin to Venice, and yikes it was far from luxe. His family's flight had broken divider panels, unstable paired seats, and poor service. Even worse, a flight attendant scolded them for walking a calm toddler during a long-haul night flight. The seatbelt rule was enforced to the letter, but the approach lacked any empathy.
They redeemed 61k miles per seat, and while Flagship First Dining at DFW sounded like a highlight, the onboard experience didn’t match up. Between outdated cabin design and inconsistent crew behavior, this just didn’t feel like international Business Class. Anyone else flown AA’s older 777s recently? Is this a one-off or the norm for these aircraft?
