British Airways Tier Points shortfall: is a last-minute flight worth it to reach Silver status?

Hello,

I’m currently 621 Tier Points short of achieving Silver status with British Airways. I was given an extension until April 14th to bridge the gap because earlier flights had not credited my Tier Points correctly.

Those missing Tier Points have now been added, but unfortunately I’m still short of the Silver requirement.

I’m considering whether it’s worth booking a last-minute flight just to earn the remaining Tier Points before the deadline.

Edit: I was initially told by British Airways that SAF contributions would not count during the extension period.

Edit 2: However, I later received conflicting information from two different BA staff members stating that SAF contributions do count, so I am now planning to proceed based on that.
