British Airways is set to resume direct flights between Kolkata and London on a biweekly schedule, reducing travel time to approximately eight hours. This decision follows West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's appeal during her UK visit. The service aims to boost tourism and trade between India and the UK. British Airways had previously ceased operations on this route in 2009.
