We were scheduled to fly from LAX to Heathrow with British Airways on Monday evening, but the flight was cancelled and we were rebooked for the following day at the same time.
After contacting British Airways customer support, we were informed that there was an alternative Virgin flight available on Monday that the airline could potentially cover instead of accepting the delayed rebooking. However, our travel agent, Hays Travel, appears to have accepted the rescheduled flight on our behalf without consulting us.
The issue is that the travel agency is currently closed for Easter, and we’re unable to reach them. As a result, we are stuck with the rebooked flight and may need to purchase an expensive alternative if the airline does not accommodate a change.
We’re looking for guidance on how to get British Airways to switch our booking to the earlier Virgin flight instead of the delayed option, given the situation with the travel agent being unavailable.
