I’m cruising out of Miami soon and trying to decide if taking Brightline the morning of the cruise is a bad idea.
Normally I drive down from the Tampa area the day before and stay in a hotel, but it ends up being a long travel day and another hotel expense. The train honestly sounds much nicer, even if I still have to drive to Orlando to catch it.
Part of me thinks I should still go the day before just to avoid the stress. Missing the ship would obviously be a disaster.
For context, the cruise starts with two sea days, so if I somehow missed embarkation I’d potentially have to fly somewhere to catch up with the ship.
For anyone who has used Brightline to get to a cruise in Miami, is it reliable enough the same day, or is the night-before hotel still the safer move?
