On a flight with Delta Air Lines, I had pre-ordered waffles for breakfast while seated in first class. During meal service, a flight attendant apologized and said the waffles were unavailable, so I chose a different option without making an issue of it.
Later in the flight, while walking to the back of the plane, I overheard a conversation between crew members mentioning that someone had saved an extra waffle breakfast in the first class galley.
It made me wonder if the meal I had originally ordered was actually taken by the crew instead.
