Just got back from a Carnival sailing and, wow the drama didn’t end at sea. As passengers disembarked in Long Beach, a full-on brawl broke out right outside the terminal punches flying, hair pulling, the works. I didn’t catch the start of it, but from what bystanders were saying, tensions had been brewing onboard. Security eventually stepped in, and things calmed down, but not before a crowd gathered to watch.
I know cruise lines have a no fighting code of conduct, but seeing it spill over onto the pier was surreal. Makes me wonder if they’ll ever push for that rumored industry-wide do not sail list. On the one hand, cruises are supposed to be a break from the stress of life.
On the other maybe a little chaos is part of the unpredictable nature of cruising. Have you ever witnessed something wild like this on your travels?
