This is one of those things that sounds complicated but might actually be straightforward. If your dad lived in the US that long before you were born, there’s a good chance you already qualify.
From what I’ve seen, people in this situation usually just apply through the embassy and it’s more about paperwork than anything else.
Still feels kinda wild though… you might’ve had US citizenship this whole time without realizing it.
