I finally stayed at Borgo Egnazia last month, and yeah… it really is that polished. The whole place feels like someone built a Pinterest board of a dream Italian village and then made it real. Service is ridiculously smooth, and the setting is pure Puglia fantasy with that signature creamy stone everywhere. But I couldn’t help wondering, has it gotten too curated? Everything was gorgeous, but I missed a bit of the charming chaos you usually get in Italy.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s hard not to enjoy yourself when there are pools, spas, and seven restaurants at your feet. Due Camini blew me away, chef’s counter dessert, yes please. But would love to hear from anyone who’s stayed at some of the newer resorts that popped up in its wake. Has anywhere matched or surpassed it?
