Was messing around with fares and had to double check this because my eyes almost popped out. Same BA flight, same cabin, same date about 6 months out.
Booked directly with BA: $182
Booked via Alaska: $1204
And Alaska still has the nerve to slap a “low fare alert” on it.
I know partner pricing is usually worse, but this feels extreme. Is this stuff supposed to improve at some point, or is this just the new normal?
Also genuinely curious who keeps that markup. Is this BA pricing Alaska out, or is Alaska adding a giant premium on top
