Grabbed a last-minute JetBlue fare from Chicago to Boston and didn’t realize something important until it was too late.
Turns out JetBlue only runs one daily flight from ORD to BOS, and the only other daily departure from ORD is to JFK. Of course the inbound aircraft got canceled for maintenance or crew issues, which meant my flight was gone too.
Next available JetBlue option out of Chicago wasn’t until Tuesday.
To make it even more annoying, the app insisted the canceled flight wasn’t eligible for a refund to the original form of payment, so I had to call customer service to sort it out.
Lesson learned: maybe don’t book an airline from a city where they only run two flights a day, especially when another airline runs hundreds.
