Booked a “private guide” in Kyoto… ended up with just a driver

That would be pretty disappointing… you expect someone explaining the history and helping plan things, and instead it’s basically just transport between spots.

The part about being dropped far from Kiyomizu-dera with an older parent too… that’s where a good guide should really step in and adjust things.

And the review thing is kinda wild. Glad it got fixed, but yeah… not a great look.

Feels like those “guide + car” tours can be hit or miss unless you double check what you’re actually getting.
