This is nightmare fuel. Booked a capsule hotel in Singapore through Chase Travel, showed up at night, and the place is shut down. Door locked, paper sign taped up saying the electricity is out and to contact the booking agency for a refund. No notice at all.
Of course nearby cheap hotels were sold out, so the night was basically ruined. Called Chase and they said they have to confirm with the hotel before refunding, but they can’t reach the hotel. And since it was booked through Chase Travel, card services won’t let them do a chargeback either.
This is one of those situations where booking through a portal really backfires. Curious if anyone’s been stuck in this loop before and how they eventually got it resolved, because being stranded at night with no hotel is brutal.
