Tried doing Marriott’s Fast Track to Gold promo while traveling for military work. I hit the stays (booked two rooms for family) and confirmed with a rep that I’d qualify she said I was good. Later found out only one room counted and was told the first rep “must’ve been wrong.”
Asked them to review call recordings and they refused, saying they can’t be held responsible for their employees’ mistakes. So basically, even if they mislead you, it doesn’t matter.
Really disappointing. I was planning to move all my travel to Marriott, but now I’m rethinking it.
