Had something odd happen in the Bonvoy app.
When I was booking, it showed 23k points for the stay during the entire checkout process. Only after the reservation was confirmed could I see that I was actually charged 67k points for the 3 nights.
Yes, 23k probably makes more sense as a nightly rate. But that’s not what was displayed while I was booking. It looked like 23k total the whole way through.
Marriott says it was a system error and they won’t honor it. Not even as a lifetime Platinum.
Curious what others think. If the app shows a rate all the way through checkout, should they stand behind it?
