Boeing 777X vs Airbus A350-1000: Is Airbus Losing Sleep?

Just finished reading an in-depth comparison of the Boeing 777X and Airbus A350-1000, and it’s clear both jets are engineering marvels. The A350-1000 nails it on fuel efficiency and ultra-long-range capability, already flying high with airlines like Qatar and Cathay. Meanwhile, the 777X boasts the widest twinjet cabin ever, plus those slick folding wingtips for gate compatibility. With up to 426 seats, it's eyeing the A380’s throne. But with years of certification delays, can it really catch up?

I’m torn, do airlines go for the proven, efficient A350 or wait for the high-capacity 777X? The 777X could change the game if Boeing delivers as promised. But will it be the next 747 or follow the A380’s turbulent path? What do you all think, if you were running a long-haul fleet, which would you choose?
