I’m trying to keep my trip budget low and was wondering how people usually find or book motels (or cheap hotels) in the US.

I’ll be going through Washington, NYC, Chicago, Miami, Memphis, Amarillo, LA, San Francisco, and Vegas. Any favorite apps or tips?
