Starting from zero status and trying to figure out the smartest way to climb with Alaska without using their credit cards.
Is status mainly based on miles flown or dollars spent? I’ve got a bunch of short trips coming up this year, mostly 1.5 to 3 hours each way, all in business class.
Not aiming for top tier, just hoping to land somewhere in the middle if it’s realistic given the trip length.
Any tips on what actually moves the needle fastest in this situation?
