Planning a family trip for 8 people in May/June all in business class from Germany (via MUC/FRA) to LAX, with returns from LAS and BNA/MEM. Prices are coming out around €4–5k per person, which adds up fast.
I’m FTL with 1 eVoucher and ~98k M&M miles, and I’m wondering if it makes sense to book individually using miles or vouchers to upgrade the long legs first before locking in the rest at full BC fares. The goal is to save a bit without risking someone ending up in economy.
Would splitting tickets like that cause any issues for check-in or upgrades? Or should I go through a travel agent or Lufthansa directly for a group fare?
