I am heading to Europe in September for a month-long trip and I am looking for a reliable walking sandal option.
I expect to be walking around 30,000 steps per day, including cobblestone streets and mixed terrain, so comfort and support are my top priorities. I have some sensitivity in my knees and an old back injury, so I need good arch support and cushioning.
At the same time, I would like something that still looks good with summer outfits and dresses, especially for places like Italy.
I will also be bringing proper walking sneakers (likely Hoka or New Balance), so the sandals are more of a secondary shoe option for variety rather than my primary footwear.
What sandals have worked best for long-distance walking in Europe while still being comfortable and reasonably stylish?
