I feel this so much. I love Disney, but the Magic Kingdom firework crowd control has gotten really uncomfortable. Not just annoying, actually stressful.
Getting stuck in a wall of people where you literally cannot move for 20+ minutes is not okay. I don’t care if it’s the holidays or peak season, that’s a safety issue. There’s a big difference between “busy” and “no clear way to exit the park.”
I’ve had similar experiences where I planned to leave before the fireworks and still got swallowed by the crowd. No cast members directing traffic, no clear lanes out, just thousands of people pushing in different directions. It completely kills the night and honestly makes you not want to come back.
Totally agree that it would be terrifying for a first time visitor, especially families or anyone with anxiety. Disney needs to rethink how they manage that space during shows because right now it feels like a disaster waiting to happen.
