I have a trip booked with a routing of CNX → TPE → LAX → MIA for myself and my child. The final segment from LAX to MIA is operated by American Airlines.
I want to purchase an extra checked bag in advance, but I cannot complete that through the system because the last leg is operated by American Airlines. If I wait and pay the baggage fee at the airport, will that fee cover the entire journey, or will I need to pay again when I transfer to the American Airlines flight?
Also, each passenger is allowed two 23 kg checked bags. One of my bags is split into a 14 kg suitcase and a 9 kg duffel bag. Will this be accepted as one allowance as long as it stays within the weight limit, or will it be treated as separate baggage requiring additional fees
