That’s a stressful one, especially with Singapore Airlines since they’re usually so reliable.
From what I’ve seen, 48 hours with no location update feels bad, but it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s lost. If it never made it past “checked-in” in SIN, it’s probably still there somewhere and just got separated from the system (like a missing tag or scan issue).
The fact they called asking about contents and got photos is actually a good sign. That usually means they’re actively trying to match it manually.
True “lost” bags usually take a few days to a week before airlines even start admitting that possibility.
Still… the “we don’t know where it is” phase is the worst part.
Chances are it shows up in a couple days, just delayed and misrouted.
