Flew London to Bombay and my checked bag showed up in a torn trash bag with holes. Had to rush for a connection so I just wrapped it up to deal with later. Air India’s offering to replace the bag but won’t refund the extra baggage fee I paid it was 30kg in a 32kg-rated bag, not overpacked.
I’m also missing a gold earring and a few smaller things. I asked them to review cameras, but I know they’ll probably say they’re not liable. Anyone know what’s reasonable to claim here or had luck getting compensation for missing items?
