So this is a weird one. I flew London to Miami with a 22-hour layover before heading to Guatemala City. At Heathrow, I told BA I’d pick up my bag in Miami since you have to clear customs in the US. They agreed.
Get to Miami... no bag. Turns out BA checked it all the way through to Guatemala anyway. But here’s the kicker, I’m not even checked in for the Guatemala flight. How can they check the bag through but not me? That feels like a security issue, right?
Anyone ever had this happen? Hoping I see my bag again tomorrow.
