Atlanta Airport Chaos: Thunderstorms Delay Departures by 2+ Hours

If you’re flying out of Hartsfield-Jackson today, brace yourself, departures are averaging a 2-hour delay thanks to last night’s intense thunderstorms. I had a 6 a.m. flight that didn’t get airborne until nearly 9! The FAA had issued a full ground stop that lasted till 8 p.m., and even though that’s lifted, the backlog is real. Crowds are thick, gates are jammed, and even getting a coffee feels like a mission.

Atlanta’s usually pretty efficient, but weather really threw a wrench in things this time. Anyone else traveling through ATL right now? Did your flight get bumped or delayed too?
