i recently stayed at atelier and had a very different experience than what i expected based on the general reputation of the resort. my main concerns were the level of reservation requirements, room layout, and food quality.
Almost everything required reservations, including restaurants and even beach access and cabanas, which often had long waitlists. this made it difficult to plan meals or relax spontaneously. moving between the room and amenities also felt time consuming, especially depending on room location.
The room itself looked better in photos than in person. soundproofing was limited, and in some cases amenities felt below what i would expect from a luxury property. distance from key areas added to the inconvenience.
Food was another major disappointment. despite the resort being known for its dining, the meals i experienced were bland and did not match the cuisines advertised. even room service was underwhelming.
Overall, while the property is visually appealing and has a strong concept, the execution felt inconsistent. the experience may be acceptable for some, but it did not align with expectations of a flexible, luxury all inclusive stay.
i’m sharing this to help others set realistic expectations when considering this resort.
