Aspen tops list as priciest U.S. destination

Not exactly breaking news for anyone who's tried to plan a ski weekend there, but still wild to see Aspen officially named the most expensive tourist city in the U.S. Even in the off-season, you’re looking at over $2,700 for two people over three nights. Gorgeous, sure, but I can’t help wondering how many folks visit once and then immediately start Googling “cheaper Colorado towns with trees.”

Anyone here actually think it’s worth the splurge?Scenic view of Aspen, Colorado, with trees, mountains, and buildings visible in the valley
