Ireland’s latest luxury hotel rankings just dropped with some big changes Ashford Castle jumped to #1 (thanks to its new €3,200 Hideaway Cottage) while longtime favorite Ballyfin Demesne slipped down to #8. The Merrion in Dublin also climbed to #3 after a full renovation and adding a 2-star Michelin restaurant. What stands out is how properties investing in unique experiences (falconry at Adare, upgraded golf, food programs) are being rewarded more than just flashy suites. I’ve stayed at 6 of the current top 10 and service is clearly what’s moving the needle.
