American Airlines is launching a direct flight from Phoenix to Fort Lauderdale starting Dec 18, and boosting service to Tampa and Miami too. As someone who loves escaping to the Florida coast in winter, this is such a welcome update. I’ve done layovers to get to the Atlantic side and it’s always a bit of a hassle. A nonstop to Fort Lauderdale? Yes, please.
