Are US one-way fares creeping up again?

I always used to book domestic one-ways in the US without paying more than a roundtrip. Lately though, on my last two trips, the one-way pricing looked a lot higher. Did something change in airline policy, or is this just me running into bad luck with fares? Curious if others have noticed this too.
