I’ll be transiting through Dubai International Airport soon and have a layover of several hours. Since I’m not eligible for complimentary lounge access or a transit hotel, I’m trying to decide whether paying for a lounge is actually worthwhile.
From what I’ve seen, most of the lounge options mainly offer armchairs, lounge seating, and café-style tables. Given that access can cost anywhere from $50 to $100 per person for a stay of around four hours, I’m wondering whether the comfort and amenities justify the price compared to simply using the airport’s regular seating areas and purchasing food or drinks separately.
For those who have spent time at Dubai Airport, would you recommend paying for lounge access, or are there comfortable cafés, restaurants, or quieter areas within the terminal where it’s easy to relax during a long layover?
I’d appreciate any recommendations, especially from travelers who have compared both options. Unfortunately, booking a sleep pod or airport hotel isn’t really within the budget, so I’m looking for the best value approach.
