I fly Alaska almost exclusively out of SEA and lately the prices feel kind of insane.
Domestic round trips rarely seem under $500 anymore. International is even worse. Alaska’s prices are often double what I’m seeing on other airlines. I was looking at Rome and it was close to $2k one way, which just feels wild.
I travel a decent amount and track prices pretty closely, both directly with Alaska and through Capital One. I’ve been checking routes to PHX, DTW, Hawaii, Tokyo, Manila, Rome, London, Seoul, Malaysia, Spain, all different times of year, and Alaska just keeps coming in way higher.
At that point, what’s the incentive to stay loyal? Curious if others flying out of SEA are seeing the same thing or if I’m just hitting bad timing.
