Anyone Skipping the Beach This Week

I was dreaming of sunny beach days on the Outer Banks until Hurricane Erin showed up.


Now, with waves forecast to hit 20 feet and swim bans stretching from Florida to New York, I’m changing plans. North Carolina’s under a state of emergency, some Outer Banks residents are evacuating, and rip currents are making beaches dangerous across the East Coast.


I’m all for chasing adventure but not when it comes with storm surges and no-swim zones. Stay safe out there, everyone!
