Been flying for years with just one backpack fits perfectly under the seat every time, no issues. But out of ATL today on a mainline 3-3 plane they started tagging every backpack to gate check. Mine had my laptops, meds, chargers, glasses, passport basically everything important. Told them it always goes under the seat and doesn’t touch overhead space, but they still insisted. Only backed off when I pushed back.
Honestly baffled. Never seen this before in 3.5 years of constant flying. There was even room in the bin above me after all that. Was this just an ATL one-off or has anyone else run into this nonsense lately?
